OCR: Conductivity: The apparatus pictured is used to determine how well a liquid conducts electricity. If a liquid is good conductor |the bull will glow brightly when the electrodes are dipped inte the solution. This indicates that the liquid is a strong electrolyte. If the bulb is dim when the electrodes are immersed in the liquid, the the solution is a weak electrolyte. If the bulb does not show any sign of electricity flowing thru the wire, then the liquid is a poor cont ductor of electricity and can be classified as a nonelectrolyte. Acids, bases, and salts make tip the electrolytes. Molecules like sugar and ured are examples of nonelectrolytes.
